Theraspan LLC, collects personal information necessary to provide our educational services. This includes your name, email address, date of birth, phone number, mailing address, and course enrollment and progress data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to create and manage your account, deliver course content, issue completion certificates, process payments, and communicate important updates about your enrollment. Theraspan provides educational content only and does not provide legal advice or case-specific recommendations.

3. Data Sharing

Theraspan LLC do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. We may share limited information with payment processors (e.g., Stripe) solely to complete transactions. Certificate verification pages do not display personally identifiable information publicly. We only supply links to certificates.

4. Certificate Verification & Public Data

Certificates include a unique verification ID that authorized parties can use to confirm authenticity. Public verification pages display the certificate number, link to certificate page, course name, completion date, and verification status. No personally identifiable information (name, email, address, etc.) is shown on public verification pages.

5. Court Date Information

If you indicate your course is court-ordered, we may ask for your court date to help support your progress and provide timely reminders. This information is encrypted at rest and used only for the purpose of supporting your educational progress within Theraspan. We do not share court date information with third parties. You may update or remove your court date at any time in your account settings. Court date information may be subject to legal subpoena or court order.

6. Data Security

Theraspan uses secure, encrypted storage for all user data. We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL), secure database storage, and access controls to protect your information.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account and enrollment data for the duration of your account’s existence and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal obligations and support certificate verification. You can permanently delete your account and personal data at any time from within your account. When you delete your account, your login and personal information (profile, cases, progress, and notes) are erased. Because course-completion certificates are legal records that courts and third parties may need to verify, the certificate itself — including your name, the course, and the completion date — is retained for ongoing verification even after deletion. You may also request deletion by contacting our support team.

8. Cookies & Analytics

We may use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember preferences, and improve the Platform experience. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can delete your account and all associated data directly in your account, or contact our support team to exercise these rights. Please note that deleting your account is permanent and may affect your ability to access certificates and course records, so download any certificates you may need first.

10. User Responsibility

It is the user’s responsibility to verify course requirements with their court, attorney, probation officer, or supervising agency before enrolling. Theraspan is not responsible for determining whether a course meets a user’s legal requirements.

11. Changes to This Policy

Theraspan LLC reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or Platform notification. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
